Today in class we finished discussing the current events project. One of the current events that stuck out to me was the don’t say gay bill. This bill is stating that grade levels kindergarten-3rd grade can not say or learn about the lgbtq community. I totally agree with this bill because I feel as if parents should have their own say so on when they want their child to be exposed to that topic. Children should learn that in school because some parents may not agree with the way the school teaches the students. This should be a topic parents discuss and expose to their children when they feel their ready.
Extra credit prompt.
On April 7th, 2022 my little brother was born and I instantly fell in love. I have been the only child for 17 years of my life and when my mom told me I was having a sibling I wasn’t the happiest. In fact I was a little scared because it’s always been me and my mom and I didn’t want nothing to change between us. But when my brother was born it actually made our relationship better. Being in the hospital room the entire time of labor and delivery really help me value my mom more and brought us closer together. When my brother was born I didn’t cry until I heard him cry and once I heard him cry I fell in love and he became the love of my life.
