This is what we did today in class
Today in class we went over formal vs informal, deductive and inductive. Deductive is reasoning from general premises which involves valid or invalid reasoning. They would use deductive in science. Inductive is informal logic or everyday arguments, they use this in court. Besides that today was a pretty cool day and the 8th graders came to visit today.
Today in classes we discussed a scenario, what would we do if our parents invaded our privacy and went through our room. My personal goal is telling my mom that invading my privacy can take a toll on our relationship and help her understand how she was wrong in that situation. At the end of class for our exit ticket we were asked “if Russia and China teamed up to invade the United States. How long do we think it’ll take for the war to end”. I personally do not think Russia and China would be able to succeed at invading the United States because we have the strongest military in the world, the best nuclear weapons in the world, allies that would help fight with and for us, and strong citizens that will fight for our country.
Today in class we finished discussing the current events project. One of the current events that stuck out to me was the don’t say gay bill. This bill is stating that grade levels kindergarten-3rd grade can not say or learn about the lgbtq community. I totally agree with this bill because I feel as if parents should have their own say so on when they want their child to be exposed to that topic. Children should learn that in school because some parents may not agree with the way the school teaches the students. This should be a topic parents discuss and expose to their children when they feel their ready.
I got checked out during 3rd period today.

Today in class we went over what we do wrong when writing a essay. I was not in school that day the class wrote these essays so I had and advantage and learned five things to avoid when writing a essay. Five things I we need to work on as a class when writing a essay is run on sentences, unnecessary long introductions, punctuations, the body paragraph being examples to your introduction, and unnecessary information.

3.2.22

Today in we went over 14 questions about the book “the yellow wallpaper” this book is based on mental health. In the book the narrator is going through depression and her husband and his sister is the cause of it. I learned that yellow symbolizes sickness. Your mental health is also based on you.
